Christmas 2019

Christmas was small but joyful and I didn't take enough pictures to document the occasion. On Monday Sarah had a small surgery for a deviated septum, everything went smoothly and well. After photos to come. Amy's family with Joe, Harper and Charli joined us for Christmas Eve along with my mother, Janet Hardy, and Craig, (and Sarah). It was a small group, but enjoyed a wonderful steak dinner and got to watch mostly Charli open her presents. Two years old is the perfect age for Christmas! Everything is exciting. Our children treated us with a spa package to the La Costa resort here in Carlsbad, wow! Can't wait to to use that, along with with pampering soaps and creams. Craig treated everyone to a scented candle picked just for them. Gary and I enjoyed a brisk walk along on Christmas morning before the rest of the family, mom, Sarah and Craig were ready for some traditional Christmas day omelets. We then all enjoyed a movie together and a relaxing day after that. The other kids were with their other families. We will have to come up with new traditions as the family dynamics continue to change and grow. We love it. Families are the greatest.

Journey to Bethlehem

Gary and I don't dress up often, but our ward had a "Journey to Bethlehem" Christmas party and I was helping with the "Toy Shop" primary crafts, so of course, I felt I had to play the part. We ended up looking pretty good and our tent looked pretty good too, thanks to some contributions from a few people.

Utah Weekend with Amy

Quick trip up to Utah with Amy, Charli and Harper to see Sarah, Gary's mom Marilyn and brothers and sisters. Of course, Charli is in all the pictures and I didn't get any from the rest of the trip. We did enjoy a wonderful dinner with Kim, Marci, and Jeff's families along with Marilyn. More pictures next time! Amy stayed with Marci and we stayed at a Marriott in Lehi. The weather was very nice, we had to drive up the canyon a ways to get enough snow to make a snowman with Charli.

Thanksgiving 2019

We were so blessed to have everyone home together for a few days at Thanksgiving this year. It was a little cold and rainy, but we managed a quick trip to dog beach before everyone got too cold. Brynn and Kate joined me for my Kaia exercise class a few mornings. We had a fun "selfie scavenger hunt" at the mall. So much fun dividing up and spending 40 minutes trying to get a picture of us with the items on the list. It's hard to find things to do for every age category, this accomplished that! Thanksgiving day was rainy, but it kept everyone home cooking together, eating and playing games. I definitely enjoy Thanksgiving and the focus on family and being together. Yay!! So blessed!

Slot Canyons of Paige Arizona

I'd been wanting to get to some Slot Canyons for while and we finally planned a weekend getaway to Paige Arizona. The Slot Canyons were on an Indian Reservation and only accessible with a tour guide. It was amazing and our guide helped us take some fantastic pictures. We also took a helicopter tour to get a great few of Lake Powell and the surrounding areas. We had a great trip just the two of us.
