Marilyn's Passing and Memorial Service

 Marilyn passed away July 27, 2021 in Springville Utah. Here last years were difficult as she continued to lose her memory and ability to care for herself. Kim was the loving nurturing daughter that lived closest to her and was able to visit her daily, she was very selfless as she cared for her mother during her last years. She will be greatly missed, a true example of a woman that always put others first and loved to serve in whatever way she could. Services were held in El Cajon on August 14th at the Hillsdale building where she was lovingly honored by her children. We then headed to the burial site (Singing Hills Memorial Park) where she was buried next to her husband Frenchie. We then return to the church for a lunch with the family. She was loved greatly and left a great posterity. 

Coeur d'Alene Idaho

 Gary and I had a wonderful little get away to Coeur d'Alene Idaho. We flew to Seattle and drove from there. There were quite a few fires being battled in the area and the air quality was not great. But we had a great time exploring new sites, renting bikes, hiking and going out on the lake one day. It's always nice we Gary and I can reconnect on our little trips together.

Maui with Kelly and Craig

 Maui with Kelly and Craig was great fun (Collin couldn't join us). We had some fun snorkeling days and diving for Craig and Kelly. Craig and I had a good day scouting out a beach he was interested in while Kelly and Craig enjoyed relaxing at the hotel with a massage. It was a wonderful trip, we always love having our kids along with us. :)

4th of July

 4th of July with Amy and Craig. We had fun chasing the firework shows until we found the perfect spot to park and let girls get out and watch safely. 

Summer Fun

 Summer fun in Carlsbad never gets old! Fun to have Amy here with the girls and Brynn too. Kelly and Collin live close, so we always enjoy when they come for the weekend.

LA with Craig and Kristi's Family

Kristi and the kids came down to stay with Craig for the weekend. Gary and I joined them the next day. Fun day in LA with Craig, we had so much fun renting bikes and going down to Venice Beach. Thanks Craig for a wonderful day.
 

 In May we finally made it back to West Virginia to visit Amy, Joe, Charlie and Harper. Along with having a wonderful time with Amy's family in their beautiful new home, we toured Pittsburg, which is where Gary served his mission. And then we were also able to v!isit Palmyra and some church history sites. We had a wonderful time visiting Amy and taking a road trip adventure. It was wonderful to see how much Amy and Joe are enjoying their new friends and time in Morgantown West Virginia and wonderful to spend time with Charlie and Harper, they are way to far away!!
