Emerson Loch arrives!

Emerson Loch arrives to Kelly and Collin 4 weeks early. He wasn't due until June 17th and our plan was to return home and be in Vegas (or close by) when Emerson arrived. It was a repeat of Rowan's birth. Kelly's water broke and there was no going back, Emerson was coming. He was 6 lbs 1 oz, 19 inches long. He will be in the NICU for a number of days with oxygen to get his lungs a little stronger. After returning for Virginia, we packed up again and headed to Vegas to meet Emerson and try to be some help with Rowan...and visit with Tanner and Kristi's families too. Lots going on!

Virginia and West Virginia

Prickett's Fort, Fairmont West Virginia

Hillwood Estate Museum and Garden

Freeman House in Vienna Virginia

We enjoyed the rest of the week with Ethan and Sarah and then traveled too West Virginia to spend a few days with Amy, Joe, Charli, Harper and Calvin. It is wonderful to live with children for a few days and see what wonderful parents they are. Amy and Joe are very busy with careers, kids, church and life. The work together beautifully and the kids are so sweet with us. Still had time to see a few tourist sites before heading back to San Diego,

Time in Vegas

We had a great time in Vegas  meeting new baby Everly and staying with Tanner and Marissa's family for a few days. We then moved to Henderson to spent 5 nights with Kristi's kids while they were in Maui. It was fun spending time with the teenagers, they were mostly busy with their friends and school, but very sweet with us and we loved getting to spend some time with them. Kate is 18 and graduating this year, she has a great group of friends getting ready to leave on missions. Ryan is 16 and grown up and driving! Brynn 13 is very social and busy with friends. Molly, 11 is happy and joyful to have around. Kelly and Ro also came to visit and spend time with grandma and grandpa. We had a great week!

Carmel, CA

Gary and I took a quick trip up the coast to Carmel, CA. The kids had given us a gift certificate for hotel for Christmas and this was a place we had never been before. It was beautiful, we stopped in Ventura on the way up and then enjoyed a leisurely drive with beautiful scenery. Carmel was small and cute with old charming homes and coastline. We drove along the coast to Big Sur, the weather was a little wet and chilly, so didn't hike at all, but enjoyed the beautiful drive and scenery along the way.

Family Photos!!

A Christmas miracle!! Everyone together for family photos with three pregnant mamas! They will be outdated in just a few months when the babies start arriving. But, who knows when the next time everyone will be together. Our photographer was great keeping everyone organized and moving quickly so we could get lots of photos in a few hours. Yeah!
